I am taking a brief, but much-needed, blogging break. My house looks like a remnant camp of Occupy America, I’ve not been to the salon in weeks so my eyebrows look like Abe Vigoda and Andy Rooney had a baby, my husband now refers to me as “What’s-Her-Name Who Used to Take Care of Me“….it’s all just a big ol’ hot mess around here!!! And just keeping it real, folks, I need some plain old R&R! 🙂
I am so grateful for each and every visit, and I hope you’ll hang in there with me. I’ll be back next week (or possibly the next…depends on if my stylist has to send out for more wax to tackle these caterpillar eyebrows!) stronger than ever. Meanwhile, especially if you’re a first-time visitor, please take a look around and see if there’s anything you like!

I’m a “stacker/pile maker” myself. Every once in a while, I have to deconstruct all the piles that I’ve created. Always think that I’ll embrace the “handle everything once” philosophy, but so far…not so much. Have a good blog break. Cherry Kay

Alycia, you are hilarious. I was in the same dire straights, and have been visiting and such but not posting. I will very soon. But I needed the haircut, color, eyebrow waxing, etc etc etc. And housework which never ends and I live alone!!!!! What is up with that?! Alycia, take your time, enjoy your break, there is plenty on the site for all of us to swoon over. I commend you for doing what you do through all the heat that’s been smothering KC. My brother (Bishop Hogan alumni) is sleeping in the basement to keep cool because the air conditioner is on but not very effective.

I totally get every word! I have been so busy lately that I have barely have the time to sit still for a pair of minutes and write, let alone read. When that happens, the creativity goes off in that same hand basket as the house and appearance. Yup.

Are you still trying to participate in July’s austerity measures? I’m positive that an eyebrow wax is considered a “need”. So positive in fact that I had one yesterday afternoon.
