HIP-HOP HOORAY!!! I’M CELEBRATING MY 200TH POST TODAY!!!
INSPIRATION: This stately-looking bunny rabbit wearing a jacket & vest similar to an outfit I used to wear during my “Brat Pack” days back in the 80s…minus the pot belly, of course! (Slap a pair of wire-rimmed glasses on this fellow and smooth his ears down like hair, and he’d be Benjamin Franklin’s doppelganger! 🙂 )
Easter is a few short days away. If you’re looking to do something a little more on the formal side for brunch or dinner without being totally stuffy, this post might be of some help to you.

I decided to go with a bare table this time around. That’s a little unusual for me, but I thought all the elements would work well on bare wood. Gleaming silver metal chargers are topped with Easterling (no pun intended…really! 😉 ) “Majestic” china from my Mom. I thought the shade of grey on the rims complemented the inspiration rabbits’ jackets.
An easy pocket fold for the medium pink napkin from LinenTablecloth.com allows the menu to be neatly tucked inside.
These adorable moss topiary place card holders were graciously given to me by Beau-coup.com. You’ll be seeing a bit more of these, used in different ways, over the summer months. The flatware is Hampton Silversmith’s “Patriot – Mirror”, and the stemware is Mikasa “Jamestown Platinum”.
The centerpiece starts with a moss table runner with various-sized moss balls strewn about. For this demonstration I used faux pink and white hyacinth in the silver champagne bucket and little pots of pink and white grape hyacinth. For your actual Easter table, though, it would be really terrific if you could go fresh. There’s nothing in the world quite like fresh flowers! (For the sake of uninterrupted conversation during the meal, the champagne bucket of flowers can be easily moved to the sideboard.) The bunny figurines – looking quite dapper in their grey knicker pants and jackets with pink and white accents – are from Home Goods.
The buffet has florals that complement those used on the dining table. They are on the ends only to leave room for the big ol’ Easter ham or desserts. The tall moss ball “trees” mimic the place card holders as do the shorter moss ball “bushes.”
The vintage tea cart in the corner is readied for coffee service after the meal.

You set the prettiest tables… I love, love that gray china..and that champagne bucket. I gave mine away in a fit of stupidity one year..I have wished for it back a hundred times…Especially when I saw your beautiful arrangement.. This is really a perfect Easter table. I would love to join you as long as you did NOT make me eat any egg yellows. LOL

Wow Alycia, this table is gorgeous with your chosen color theme. Those rabbits are the best…great find at Home Goods. Love your moss topiary name holders. Your added touches of beautiful flowers and more moss is lovely. I love pink too and you have added so much glamour with this color.

Hey Alycia- Love the look! Pink and Gray are great together and this table offers a nice organic feel yet polished too! Those hyacinths look fabulous in the silver champagne bucket and the inspiration bunny is a cutie! Those are the tallest mercury glass vases I’ve ever seen! I’m going to use my Mom’s tea cart for the punch bowl and coffee for our Easter gathering. Have a blessed Easter my friend! 🙂

I am crushing on the gigantic vases (?) on the buffet, they are gorgeous!!!! And you’re right the rabbits would resemble Mr. Franklin if they were donning a pair of specs. The rabbits are also enough of a nod towards the holiday. Remove them and this table would instantly be suitable for Mothers Day or any other spring fling. However, I know you better than that. I also like the vibe of the bare wood showing, very cool.

This is one of my favorite tables you’ve done. The hyacinths, real or faux, look stunning in the silver champagne bucket and urns. The grey china with soft pink details is very sophisticated. Gorgeous!

Your faux hyacinths look so real and are stunning in the silver champagne bucket. I love the moss runner, grape hyacinth pots and moss topiary name holders. Perfect for an Easter table to use pink linen napkins. You always do so well with your graphics for printed menus and Easter Pink is a clever name. To top off lovely crystal, china and chargers those well dressed rabbits make a great statement.

Wood….you went woody. Love it and I have to say you shocked me with this one. It made me stop for a second and go back to s few of my favorite tables you have done…(Yes I saved them for inspiration I stalk your site…I make no apologies) This is one table that you didn’t use a tablecloth, and you haven’t done that in quite some time….I really like it. Your table is gorgeous.
The Hyacinth’s and moss ball topiaries are gorgeous….and where oh where did you get those little flower pots with the flowers in them? For the life of me I can’t remember the flowers name, blue bells?

Oh my – you are so fabulous! Those tall vases just melt me! I am having vase envy and you always do large and fabulous so well. What a stately gentleman bunny. I wouldn’t expect your bunny to be any less perfect. I bet you about screamed when you saw him. He is the most handsome bunny ever. OK, late here, but better late than never. (And I’m NEVER going to get out of my blog funk if I don’t chisel out time to get inspired with table snooping.)
I love this one because the pale pink and silver combo is one of my all time favorite combos. It’s so elegant. I loved the little bunny whimsy to go along with it, and you are RIGHT that a pair of wire specs, and he would be Benjamin Bunny Franklin.

That is some stylin’ bunny! He is wonderful. I love this table and your choice to show the wood. Fabulous and sophisticated, but the bunny adds a “hare” of whimsy! Great colors, and your buffet looks great too. I have the topiaries name holders, but I got mine at Target.com

I obviously missed this before Easter….gorgeous table, Alycia. My first thought when I saw the centerpiece was…OMG her dining room must be intoxicatingly sweet, then I read they were faux! The two floral scents I love are peony and hyacinth…some roses are pretty nice, but most are scentless!
Love your sophisticated rabbits…and the mercury vases on the sideboard, wow!
