Labor Day weekend. What can I say? Time for a Coke and a smile with friends and family!
An all-American red, white & blue table for 6 – perfect for any patriotic celebration – is set up around our square picnic table. I bought these fun double-sided melamine plates at Tuesday Morning YEARS ago and have just never used them. They’re great for keeping wet and dry foods separate. The hotdog boats, also from Tuesday Morning, keep that all-American delicacy upside right. These fun retro Coca-Cola glasses were purchased at Dollar Tree a long, long time ago and – you guessed it! – have never been used until now.In keeping with the 2 apparent themes – Coca-Cola and never been used – I dug up these aluminum ice buckets large enough to hold lots of drinks. Notice there’s no specific “centerpiece” as all the colorful food at the table’s end was enough.Hungry anyone? One last Coca-Cola representation in another bucket that holds the last of juicy summertime desserts.Well, of course there’s an outdoor bar cart!!!!!! I have bar carts all over the house! I found this very handy rustic aluminum one at Hobby Lobby for 75% off!!! Ecstatic? Uhhhh…YEAH!!!
I’m actually OK with seeing the end of summer roll around. This summer of 2021 was…interesting.
I have several patriotic tablescapes on this site that I’d be tickled for you to use as inspiration.
What a “things go better with Coca-Cola” celebration!! What a score on that bar cart. It resembles an old coke 6 pack Carrier. I love those melamine plates. Perfect for an outdoor meal!! And you are right, no need for a centerpiece when the food is the star!!! Love this Alycia! Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Cheeseburgers and deviled eggs? I’m there! You certainly know how to throw a party. I have authentic Coca-Cola glasses that I inherited from my husband, who inherited them from his mother. Imagine!
What a great Labor Day picnic on your beautiful deck, Alycia! Your table looks perfect and your food looks so tasty. I have a rolling cart but mine is filled with kid’s crafts…lol!!
Perfect party for Labor Day and the end of summer! We did something similar over the weekend, we had a hot dog bar and used those same baskets, it was tons of fun! Love your galvanized cart, how handy!

I honestly don’t know where you keep all your stuff — and remember that you have it! I’ve seen your post about where you keep it all from a few years ago, but Alycia, you have sooo much stuff! This table is perfect for the end of summer. I love it. I gave up,drinking soda about three years ago, but when I did drink it, it was Coca Cola for sure! None of that stuff that begins with the letter “P.”
Alycia, I love that you pulled out the never used perfect elements for this perfect and patriotic Labor Day party. The food looks delicious. Your on sale bar cart is amazing!
